IN SPORTS NEWS:

The 7th grade girls softball team defeated Miller by a score of 12 to 10. Both teams have practice on Monday.

Blach defeated Miller in a great comeback game on Thursday. Ilona S. was injured on a line drive back to the mound in the first inning, and was able to re-enter to field later in the game. Andrea C. and Angel M. combined to pitch 3 shutout innings. Both Jessica D. and Maggie E. were solid behind the plate. The Lady Falcons rallied for 14 hits! A team high of 4 doubles were crushed deep to the outfield by Andrea C., Ilona S., Ashley K. and Jessica D. Both Maggie E. and Tanya S. laid down perfect bunts to reach base. The team is now 5 and 2. Our next game is this Tuesday away at Egan. Go Falcons!

Blach’s 8th grade boys lost another close one in five games to Miller. Great hits by Ian, Kyle and James and service runs by Matt, Kieran and Douglas.

In possibly the most exciting game this season, the 7th grade boys volleyball team came back to win 3-2 after being down 0-2 to Miller.
Great job boys!
