This week we showcase our rich array of electives at Blach that are designed to empower student voice and tap into exploring new passions with the Falcon Feed. The Falcon Feed is the 1st literary publication of the year and a product of cross elective collaboration between our students in Art classes and Creative Writing class.
Finally, here is the October Middle Years Parent Newsletter for your reading pleasure.
One way to also stay in the loop on your child’s academic progress is to check PowerSchool, our home-school communication tool. Please use this tool as a starting point to have supportive conversations around what’s going well as well as specific areas of growth with your student. Encourage your student to self advocate with his/her teacher to ask questions and seek support. Student ownership of the learning process is one of the key focus areas at the junior high level and you can help with support, encouragement, modeling and practice.
