Blach’s wrestling team travels to Kennedy today while the girls volleyball teams play at home. All wrestlers need to weigh in by brunch. 

 


Congratulations to all the winners in yesterday’s Pumpkin Bowling competition. These awarded points will be put up on the boards today. Check mrs Honigman or Mrs MacKenzie’s room.

Today is the day for Blach’s annual HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST at lunch in the Quad. This will be held rain or shine. There will be 6 divisions and each person can enter one of them: scariest, the best character, handmade, group, traditional Halloween and teachers. See you in the quad area at lunch and GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Tennis: Next tennis social at Blach will be this Monday (11/3) from 3:15-4:30. All levels welcomed! Bring your own racket, water bottle and wear tennis shoes. Hope to see you there.

Blach’s wrestling team narrowly lost to visiting Cupertino yesterday 42-39. Pins or forfeits were earned by Kyler, Nate, Nick, Alex, and Sam and decisions were earned by Aiden, Jared, Apollo and Ethan. Match vs Kennedy on Monday. 

 


The first homeroom competition of the new quarter is today!! Come out to watch PUMPKIN BOWLING in the quad and join in all the excitement. We will also be awarding the SUPERCLASS TROPHY for 1st quarter! Tomorrow everyone one should plan to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the annual Costume Contest at lunch. This will be held rain or shine. There will be 6 divisions: scariest, funniest, traditional, handmade, most original and a division just for teachers.

The 8th grade girls lost a tough match to Sunnyvale yesterday. The 7th grade girls defeated Sunnyvale 3 games to 0!
No volleyball practice today.

Great matches yesterday by Nick, Sam and Trevor who won by pin or forfeit and decisions won by Kirby, Nate and Apollo. Wrestling practice after school today. 

 


Blachappella will meet at lunch today in the chorus room. bring your lunch and be ready to practice!

Congratulations to the Noon League winners this week:Rolland, Mather and
Shepherd. The SUPERCLASS trophy will be awarded next week based on the highest number of homeroom points.

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! The THRILLER HALLOWEEN dance is tonight from 7 to 9 in the Multi. Tickets will be sold all day for $5 and for $8 at the door. We will be having an outside cafe so bring extra money. We will also be having a Halloween costume contest so dust off those school appropriate costumes if you’d like to participate.

Over the past two days our Blach wresters have gone up against Lawson and
Hyde. What they lack in numbers they have made up for in heart with many exceptional matches! Wrestlers who have won by pin or forfeit over the last two days
are: Jarred, Aiden, Nate, Nick, Rushil, Sam, and Trevor. Decisions have been won
by: Nate, Trevor, Kirby, Alex and Ethan. Practice on Monday for matches against Sunnyvale and Cupertino next week.

Congratulations to all the County Cross Country Championship runners for their strong performances Tuesday in the Championship Division (81 runners) over a VERY tough course. Our lead runners were: Amber, who was the 3rd place girl runner and Kevin and Rachel, who were in the top 20 overall. Other impressive performances came from Andrew, Madi, Ari, Morgan, Nicole, Carly, Adam, Maddy K, Lucas, Sydney, Connor, Krish and Emma. Pictures are posted in Mrs Honigman’s room along with the results.

The 8th grade girls lost a tough match to Lawson yesterday. They play Hyde at Hyde today. 

 


Tickets for the THRILLER DANCE will continue to be sold TODAY on the stage at lunch. Buy now or pay $8.00 at the door Friday night.

Due to meeting conflicts, the NOON LEAGUE VOLLEYBALL game with Foy vs Rolland will be played today on center court. Ramirez has already won the game with Moerner due to a forfeit.

All Cross Country runners participating in the County Finals should be ready to go at the beginning of 7th period. They will NOT be attending their 7th period classes and should plan to meet Mrs Honigman right in front of the locker room. 

 


Attention 8th graders: Yosemite hiking group and cabin group lists are posted on the office windows and the Science Wing. Also, don’t forget there is a MANDATORY Yosemite meeting today at lunch in the Multi. Grab your lunch and head to the Multi.

Blach’s famous Halloween dance, which is called THRILLER this year, is coming up on Friday. It will be from 7-9 PM in the Multi and will be complete with games, prizes, contests, drawings, a guest DJ and our very own outdoor café. Wear your costume if you’d like an be a part of our costume contest. Tickets will be sold Monday through Thursday at lunch for $5.00 and all day on Friday. A limited amount will be sold at the door for $8.00 so be sure to buy them DURING the week!

Due to lunchtime meetings this week, Volleyball Noon League will resume on Thursday.

Today at lunch there will be a last-minute meeting of the hexaflexagon club. Meet in Mrs. Hickman’s room; it’ll be a quick meeting!
